Fireworks and parades- July 4th is here!

Happy Birthday America and Happy July 4th to you!

We had a blast (pun intended) watching fireworks on the beach.

Seeing friends and families at BBQ's...

Taking in the Hingham Parade with Papa

and floating around in the pool!

That's a wrap...

School is out for summer

Hi everyone! We have been very busy here at the McConaghy house. Here is a recap...

Colton finished his first year of school. Here is a first day vs. last day pic. Still not wearing shoes but a bigger boy for sure.

We headed to RI to celebrate Grammy's 60th Birthday with dinner and ice cream.

Colton and Daddy started soccer practice..... we use the word "practice" loosely...more like a group of 3 year olds running in circles.

Logan had some of the best soccer skills of the group.

We spent Memorial Day on Cape Cod with our pals the DeGraan's. Tom took us for a tour of the fire station- amazing!
Logan took the firetruck out for a spin....
And we had fun playing with Tommy.

Other days, we cruise around the hood looking for trouble,
take turns riding our bikes
and playing on the swings.

If the sun is out we walk to the beach.

Another night, we made pizza with some friends. Colton put the toppings on and Logan took them off and ate them.

Most of the time we are very silly. Like when Colton insists on wearing his bike helmet for dinner....

Or Logan does the "hot dog" song while jumping on the bed....

Or when we tried to eat pizza with chopsticks.

We celebrated our awesome Daddy on Father's Day

by making him breakfast. Hope he likes his eggs crunchy.

And if that wasn't enough, we are getting ready for baby McConaghy to arrive in the Fall. Cheers!

Colton turned 3

After a long winter and a lot of snow, we've come out of hibernation to go to Florida and to celebrate my 3rd birthday.

My whole crew came out to party with me at myGym.

We had all sorts of activities and games planned including a car wash.

Then my best animated friends, Lightning McQueen and Mater popped out of my birthday cake.

I'm the one with the sweet tooth, but you wouldn't know it watching Logan.  That kid will eat anything in sight.

The week before, we were in Florida visiting Nana and Papa with Auntie Diana and Uncle Tarn. We stayed busy with lots of fun activities.  Like running around in the splash pad:

Another day we headed to the train museum and playground. There we posed as alligators for the 2nd year in a row. This year, Logan could stand up on his own.

One of our favorite places to visit is the Children's Museum in Fort Myers. Auntie Diana and I had a blast checking out the puppets.

On other days, I just wanted to play and chill out on the beach. Papa helped me construct some sand castles.

After all that hard labor, I decided to sit back and relax with a snack.

Logan was a big fan of the beach too. Here he is looking cool in Mommy's shades.

After a busy day of Florida fun, we liked to unwind by watching the NCAA tournament with Daddy. Too bad his bracket was a bust. Yes, that is Papa taking a snooze behind us.

I'd like to end this post with the highlight from my party. You play music and I run around and tackle things.  Normally I get yelled at when I tackle...but that is because Logan is at the receiving end.

Christmas

Christmas was awesome this year.  Leading up to the big day, I met Santa a couple of times, learned to sing Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and ate lots of cookies.

On Christmas morning, I was so excited to wake up.

Logan didn't fully grasp the concept yet, but he was happy too.

We took our time opening presents.  Once we got a new toy, we would play with it as long as we could until mommy or daddy prompted us to open something else.

Logan started practicing mowing the lawn so now he can start carrying his weight in the yard.  Meanwhile, I got to play with my first transformers.

I now understand that if I am a good boy, Santa will come and bring us presents.  Logan would have rather created a present tower than see what's inside of them.

At the end of the day, we were all smiles...especially since I got one of the few things that I asked for: 'a hockey shirt'

After Christmas, mommy and daddy took Logan and me to lots of fun activities.  We went to the Providence Children's Museaum with my man, Eli.

and to Kid Zone with all sorts of fun bouncy houses.

Some of the bouncy houses were too big for Logan.

Even though Logan may be a little devil at times, I'll always offer him a helping hand.

Christmastime has been a lot of fun.

Fall 2014

Lots of action since Logan turned 1.  I'll try and fill you in briefly...
Halloween was awesome. I dressed up as a fireman and

Logan was a my little Dalmatian.

The next holiday was Thanskgiving.  I got to spend some quality time with Tatiana cuddling and watching some shows.

while Logan ate like a king.

The day after Thanksgiving, we went to the Mystic Aquarium and saw all sorts of fish, whales

and even Santa Claus.  When Santa asked what I wanted, I said a 'truck', a 'dump truck'...'a blue dump truck.'  I wanted to be specific for the big guy.

After the museum, the boys got to have lunch together.

And then all of a sudden Christmas was here.  The tree went up and Logan has been a big help reminding Daddy to water the tree.

I am excited to spend some more time with Mommy and Logan over the Christmas break.

And with the rest of the family as we enjoy the fruits of our labor: Raviolis on Christmas Day.

And over Halloween weekend, Logan took his first steps.  It was the perfect birthday present for Mommy.

And gave me some good fodder to make fun of Logan and impersonate his funny walk.
